WHAT IS THE CHURCH?

It is a people who have believed on him ( God) that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; who was delivered for our offenses, and was raised again for our Justification. ( Ro. 4;24,25) that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. It is a people who have repented ( turned from there ways) to Christ, who have been baptized as an outward sign, and who have received the gift of the Holy Ghost. It is a people who have been delivered from the power of darkness, and translated into the kingdom of his dear Son. who should show forth the praises of him who called them out of darkness into his marvelous light.
( col. 1.13; 1 Pe. 2.9) Now I know some may say some people can not be baptized for various reasons-I understand this and so does our Lord-but everyone can repent and show forth his praises daily and not just on Sunday. We seem to think that Monday-Sat. we can live any kind of way then on Sunday show forth his praise-until the "benediction" is given then go back to our own ways. Is this pleasing to our Lord? Absolutely not! Then we wonder how come people do not desire to be Christians. They see how we live on a daily basis. Then we have what I like to call the (5) drugs, alcohol, homosexuals, cigerette smokers, and the fornicators-we have made it where if you do not do any of these things you are a pretty good Christian. I am not condoning any of this but what about those who are in pride, jealousy, coveting etc.. you get the picture. Everyone does not do the (5) but we all have that one thing we lack-which is what the world sees. So the next time you desire to condemn someone to hell-make sure those things that Jesus said come from our heart is not coming out of you.
