Article #7: Stop Being Destroyed!
"my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge." (Ho. 4:6) "...my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowlege; and their honorable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst." (Is. 5:13) Destroyed: to ruin completely; spoil, to tear down or break up, to render useless or ineffective, to impair severely something such as the spirit, health or effectiveness of; break, crush, overwhelm, ruin Captivity: bondage, detention, enslavement, contrained Lack: to be without or in need of, to be missing or deficient, to be in need of something, absence How many times have you said "if I knew then what I know now?" I must admit, I have said those words alot. But the truth of the matter is, I could have known it and should have known it. But like so many others, I rejected the wisdom and knowledge of God's Word into my ears and instead my ears were tuned in with another frequency, the wisdom and knowledge of the world and what appeared to be common sense. Therefore, I would be destroyed (impaired) and in captivity (contrained). Because of my rejection and the consequences from rejecting God's wisdom and knowledge, that good ol' prayer wheel stayed turning, "Lord help me, Lord deliver me, Lord provide for me, Lord do this or that!" It is during this time that one says "boy if I knew then what I know now." Before I was afflicted I went astray; but now have I kept thy word. (Ps. 119:67) My question to you today is, "are you rejecting what you can or should know, are you being destroyed or in captivity?" Our creator says it is because of a lack of knowledge. Do you desire to come out, then get the shovel and go digging for the hidden treasure in his Word, but don't forget to apply it. Daily Prayer: Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people, teach me good judgment and knowledge. Give me understanding and I will keep your word, make me to go in the path of thy commandments and incline my heart unto your word and not to coveteousness. Turn away my eyes from beholding vanity; and quicken me in thy way. (2Chr. 1:10, Ps. 119:66, 33-37) Want a free store to finance your ministry or extra money in your pocket?
