Article #4: Stop it!!
"cease my son, to hear the instruction that causeth to err
from the words of knowledge." (Pro. 19:27)
How many times have you received instruction in a matter
and it was wrong? How many times have you been carried
about with different and strange doctrines..(Heb.13;9) You
knew you had never read it in scripture or read it quite
like it was put to you, but it sounded good and right, and
it came from a seemingly spiritual person? And besides you
were "desperate."
"Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain
deceit, after the tradition of man, after the rudiments of
the world and not after Christ. (Col. 2;8) How many times
have you sown your seed in an attempt to get God to give
you something and it never manifested and it was because of
something you said or didn't say? What is our doctrine
today, "God wants you to prosper, give to this or that
because God wants to bless you," you know the drill.
I have a question for you: before you were saved did God
provide shelter, food, job and raiment for you etc..? Even
if you didn't know at the time it was Him and not you
giving you the power to get wealth (substance), he was
providing. But after
you came to God, because of his goodness, now you have to
beg, pay, and basically plead with God to get Him to do
what he was already doing. Selah
Did God change, "no" Jesus Christ the same yesterday (while
you were yet a sinner) today (restored back to Him) and
forever. So the question is what is it that you desire so
much that you will give your time, energy, and resources
(especially money) to get what God has not already given.

Should we give absolutely! But what is the driving force
behind it, what's your motive? Could it be you receive not
because
you ask amiss, to consume upon your own lust? (Ja.4:3)
People are
going broke trying to get the blessing. But my friend could
it be the blessing hasn't come because your Creator has
already given it? Be content with what you have at the
moment, and give or whatever you do because you are His
child and this is what Kingdom kids do.
"then understood they how that he bade them not beware of
the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees
and Sadducesses." (Math. 16:12)
Daily Prayer:
Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and
come in before this people, teach me good judgement and
knowledge, give me understanding and I will keep your word,
make me to go in the path of thy commamdments and incline
my heart unto your word and not to coveteousness, turn away
my eyes from beholding vanity; and quicken me in thy way.
Remove from me vanity and lies, give me neither poverty nor
riches, feed me with food convient for me; lest I be full
and deny thee, and say who is the Lord; or lest I be poor
and steal and take the name of my God in vain.
(2Chr. 1;10, Ps. 119:66,33-37, Pro. 30;9))
