Article Two: Part Two
Beginning Scripture from article two, part one: "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; and the knowledge of the Holy is understanding." In keeping with our definition of "fear of the Lord," and what knowledge is, we can read this word like this for plainess sake. Everything is hinged on the fear of the Lord and knowledge of the Holy. To put it all together, " the extreme or profound respect (fear of the Lord) is the beginning of your ability to discern or judge what is true, right, or lasting (wisdom) and the fact of knowing (knowledge) what is sacred whether ceremorially or morally (Holy) is to understand. Can you say you have exteme or profound respect for God? Can you say that you know what the Holy is, this is not just the preachers (sorry) Here is more definitions of the word "Holy:" to be (make, pronounce or observe as, consecrate, dedicate, hallow, a sacred place or thing. Our creator says "ye shall be holy; for I am Holy." (Le. 11:45) We are to order our lives according to his word. Do not allow this statement to be said of you. "I neither learned wisdom, or have the knowledge of the holy." (Pro. 30:3) Daily Prayer: "Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people, teach me good judgement and knowledge, give me understanding, and I will keep your word, make me to go in the path of thy commandments and incline my heart unto your word and not to coveteousness, turn away my eyes from beholding vanity, and quicken me in thy way.
