Article One : What is knowledge
"Knowledge is the state or fact of knowing, familiarity,
awareness, or understanding gained through experience or
study. It is the sum range of what has been perceived,
discovered or learned. It is specific information about
something."
Understanding what knowlege is, is crucial to your life.
Without knowledge you will not be able to function
properaly in a piticular situation. There are many books on
a variety of information geared to give you knowledge and
understanding of that piticular subject. You may by books
on how to raise your children better, how to plant a
garden, make cabinets etc. What ever the case maybe, you
are attempting to gain knowledge.
Our Creator has a lot to say about knowledge. Notice I used
the word "creator" to begin getting your mind on the fact
that it is He who has made you and the earth therefore he
knows what you need to do.
How does a person start to have knowledge? "the fear of the
Lord is the beginning of knowledge; but fools despise
wisdom and instruction."(Pro.1:7)
What is "Fear?" to reverence, be in awe of, treat with
profound or extreme respect. It is sad how our country does
not have high respect for God our maker. This is plainly
obvious. But even more sadly, is the people who have called
on the name of the Lord do not have this profound or
extreme respect for their God. We ought to be ashamed!
There are certain things we would not say, certain places
we would not go, and certain things we would not do if we
had this extreme respect or fear of our God. Whether we
like it or not, it appears that other religions have more
of a "fear" for their god than we. When you can turn on
the television and hear jokes about what goes on in our
churches, how it
goes on, and who is doing it all in the name of fun, where
is the fear? I too laughed until the conviction of the Holy
Spirit came, what about you? I can't find anywhere where
people treat the pope, buddha, or allah like this. Where is
the fear (extreme respect) in our congregations, on our
jobs, in our homes, and at the grocery store from those who
have called on our Father in heaven? We have
forgotten that our creator sees and hears us!
Let us here the word of our creator," Therefore, my people
are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge:
and their honorable men are famished, and their multitude
dried up with thirst. Therefore, hell has enlarged herself,
and opened her mouth without measure; and their glory and
their multitude and their pomp and he that rejoiceth shall
descend into it." (Is. 5:13,14) Notice he said "his
people."
Begin today, adjust whatever you need to so you can begin
to
walk in the Fear of God which is the beginning of
knowledge.By us adjusting ourselves in this one area is of
great importance to our God. Think about this word today
and see what all the Holy Spirit will bring to your mind.
Daily Prayer:
"Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and
come in before this people, teach me good judgement and
knowledge, give me understanding, and I will keep your
word, make me to go in the path of thy commandments and
incline my heart unto your word and not to coveteousness,
turn away my eyes from beholding vanity; and quicken me in
thy way.
(2Chr.1:10,Ps. 119:66, 33,34, 35,36,37)
